The college magazine for the academic year 2024–25 of Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar, titled “സിസിഫസിൻ്റെചിരി” ( SISIPHASINTE CHIRI ) , was released on 12 March, 2026 (Thursday) during the College Day Celebrations organized by the Rithwa College Union 2025–26. The programme began with a prayer by Sandra Subhash, which created a pleasant and respectful atmosphere for the function. The gathering was formally welcomed by Sajina G K, the General Secretary of the Rithwa College Union. The programme was presided over by Abhay J Prakash, Chairman, Rithwa College Union who delivered the presidential address and appreciated the efforts of the students in bringing out the college magazine. Dr. K K Shanmughadas, Principal of Mahatma College of Education Nileshwar delivered the Principal’s address and congratulated the editorial team and students for their creative contributions.
The magazine was officially released by the renowned teacher and writer Mr. Balachandran Eravil. While releasing the magazine, he emphasized the role of college magazines in nurturing young writers and thinkers. He also motivated students to use such platforms to share their ideas and talents. The theme of the magazine was “Thalaash”, reflecting the spirit of search, creativity, and exploration. The magazine includes a variety of literary works such as articles, poems, stories and artworks prepared by the students. Felicitations were delivered by Dr. P C Balakrishnan (President, Mahatma Educational Society Nileshwar), Sonia Thomas (Staff Secretary), Krishnan Thekkiniyil (Union Advisor), and
Nithin M (Former College Union Chairman). They appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to continue their literary and creative activities.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Chaithanya K, Former College Union Student Editor, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, teachers and students who contributed to the success of the event. She also explained the origin of the magazine’s title and its deeper meaning. She mentioned that the magazine symbolizes a lonely journey to discover one’s own face, which has become invisible among many masks. It reflects the search for true identity and self-realization. The magazine release was a memorable part of the College Day celebrations and showcased the creativity and talents of the students of Mahatma College of Education Nileshwar.
