A Free Eye Testing Camp was successfully conducted at Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar on 14 November 2025 at 9.30 a.m. The programme was organized in association with Payyannur Eye Foundation, Kanhangad Branch, with the objective of promoting eye health awareness and early detection of vision- related problems among students and staff.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. P. C. Balakrishnan, President, Mahatma Educational Society, Nileshwar. Sri. Santhosh Palayi, PRO, Payyannur Eye Foundation, Kanhangad Branch, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The medical team conducted free eye examinations and provided necessary guidance regarding eye care and preventive measures. More than 100 students attended the programme, and over 80 people actively participated in the eye testing camp. Vision screening and basic eye check-ups were carried out efficiently, and participants were advised on further treatment wherever required.
The camp was very beneficial and informative, helping to create awareness about the importance of regular eye check- ups. The programme concluded successfully with the cooperation of the college authorities and medical team.
