REPORT ON KALOLSAVAM- SWARALAYA 2026
The Arts Festival competitions were held on January 19, 20, 22, and 23, 2026 at our college campus. The events were conducted house-wise, with first-year and second-year students divided into four houses: Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue. Captains were appointed for each house.
Off-stage events took place on Days 1 and 2, while on-stage events were held on Days 3 and 4.
OFF-STAGE EVENTS
Off-stage Programs started exactly at 9:45 AM after the inauguration ceremony.
On Day 1, events like Short story, Poem writing, Film review, Wiki Article, Collage, Poster Making, Mehendi, Debate competition, Caricature, Acrylic Painting, and Clay modelling were held.
Day 2 featured Essay writing, Screenplay, Documentary, Kadhachithram, Computer Designing, Pencil Drawing, Photography, Kurumkadha, Quiz, Cartoon, Oil Painting, Water colouring, Rangoli, Charcoal Drawing, and Embroidery.
ON-STAGE EVENTS
On Day 3 the festival showcased Mohiniyattam, Western Music, Kuchupudi, Carnatic Music, Kadhakali Sangeetham, Recitation, Mappilapaat, Oppana, Thiruvathira, and Mime.
The final day, Day 4, included Margamkali, Nadanpaat, Group Song, Skit, Folk dance, Gazal, Prasangam, Mimicry, Light Music, and Bharatanatyam.
The competitions were conducted flawlessly and on schedule, concluding successfully.
The competition was tough, but Yellow House emerged victorious with 467 points, followed by Green House with 343 points. Red House secured 336 points, and Blue House achieved 210 points.
