ART AND DRAMA WORKSHOP REPORT

                                                  DAY – 1

                        Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar, in collaboration with IQAC, organized the first day of the Art & Drama Workshop on 10th February 2026 (Tuesday) at the General Hall from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The theme for the day was “Workshop on Learning Aid Preparation.” The programme aimed to encourage creativity among B.Ed. trainees and provide practical experience in preparing effective and meaningful learning aids.

                        The session was led by Shri Pramod Aduthila, a respected educationist and Retired Head Master. He is also a National Trainer, State Teacher Award Winner, and a member of the Textbook Committee. His vast experience and friendly approach made the session highly engaging and inspiring for all participants. The programme began with a warm welcome to the resource person. The atmosphere in the hall was lively and enthusiastic. In his introductory talk, Shri Pramod Aduthila emphasized that teaching is not just about delivering content, but about making learning enjoyable and meaningful. He spoke about the importance of art and drama in education and how creative methods can make classrooms more interactive and learner-centered.

                       He highlighted the role of learning aids in simplifying difficult concepts and capturing students’ attention. He encouraged the trainees to use low-cost and locally available materials to prepare attractive and effective teaching aids. According to him, a good teacher should always be creative, innovative, and resourceful. The workshop was highly practical and interactive. Participants were divided into groups and engaged in preparing various learning aids such as charts, models, and activity-based materials. The hall was filled with teamwork, discussion, and creativity. After completing their work, each group presented their learning aids. The resource person appreciated their efforts and provided constructive feedback to improve their presentation and creativity.

                     The college made proper arrangements for the participants. Tea and snacks were provided at 11:00 AM, which gave everyone a refreshing break and an opportunity to interact informally with the resource person and peers. Lunch was also arranged by the college, ensuring the comfort and convenience of all attendees throughout the day. The session concluded with a feedback and reflection segment. Many participants expressed that the workshop was informative, inspiring, and beneficial for their teaching practice. They felt motivated to apply creative techniques in their future classrooms.

                     Overall, the first day of the Art & Drama Workshop was a grand success. It provided valuable practical knowledge and encouraged innovative teaching practices to students.
