REPORT ON PI DAY CELEBRATION “πthagorus Party”

The Mathematics Club, in association with IQAC, organized a vibrant π Day celebration titled “πthagoras Party” on 17th March 2026. The programme aimed to promote interest in mathematics through fun, creativity, and engaging activities. The celebration included a variety of events such as Mathematics Dance ,Treasure Hunt, Face Art, and several other mathematical games. These activities encouraged students to think critically, work collaboratively, and explore the fun side of mathematics.
The Pi Day celebration was started with a vibrant Mathematics Dance presented during the “Morning Buzz” segment of the college assembly. The performance was carried out by Harsha M S and Fathimath Amna H, who creatively blended mathematical ideas with rhythmic movements, making the presentation both engaging and enjoyable for the audience. Their coordination, enthusiasm, and confidence added energy to the celebration and helped create a lively atmosphere, marking a meaningful and memorable beginning to the Pi Day observance. The Treasure Hunt was one of the most exciting events, where participants solved mathematical clues to reach the final destination. The first prize in Treasure Hunt was won by the Social Science Option. The Face Art competition added a creative touch to the celebration, with participants beautifully expressing mathematical concepts through art. The first prize in Face Art was secured by the English Option. Overall, the program was a great success, fostering enthusiasm and active participation among students. The efforts of the Mathematics Club and IQAC were highly appreciated, making the event both educational and entertaining.
