Voter Awareness Campaign and Registration

Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar in collaboration with IQAC and Electoral Literacy club successfully conducted a one day orientation programme on 14/02/2025 from 1.30 pm to 3.30pm for B Ed trainees focusing on conducting a field outreach activity for voter awareness and registration. The event is organised for the Electoral Literary Club members to strengthen their capacity to provide field level help and awareness among the public in voter registration and the importance voting rights.
The programme was started with a brief introduction and welcome by our Principal Dr. Ramya V R .Then the orientation session, designed to prepare participants to conduct a field outreach activity on voter awareness and registration was started. The resource person, G. Suresh Babu, Junior Superintendent, Election Section Collectorate, Kasaragod, provide a valuable insights in to the electoral process, highlighting the significance of voter participation in a democratic process of our country. The programme also provided detailed information on how to register as a voter by using a mobile application, including eligibility criteria, required documents and application process.
The orientation programme was a valuable initiative to empower students to become active participants in the democratic process.
