CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATIONS 2025
The Christmas celebration of RITHWA College Union was conducted with great joy and enthusiasm on 23rd December 2025 at the college auditorium. The programme reflected the true spirit of Christmas, spreading messages of love, peace, and unity among students and staff. The function began with a welcome address delivered by Ms. Devika K (Student Editor), who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, teachers, students, and guests to the celebration. The programme was presided over by Dr. Shanmugha Das Sir (Principal-in-Charge), who delivered the presidential address. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of Christmas as a festival that promotes values such as compassion, sharing, and harmony in society. The inauguration of the Christmas celebration was performed by Rev. Fr. Lorence Panekkal, who conveyed a meaningful Christmas message emphasizing love, service, and goodwill towards all. The occasion was further enriched by felicitation speeches from distinguished guests: Dr. P. C. Balakrishnan (President, Mahatma Education Society), Sri. M. Balakrishnan (Secretary, Mahatma Education Society), and Ms. Soniya Thomas (Staff Secretary). They extended their heartfelt Christmas wishes and appreciated the efforts of the college union in organizing the celebration. Mr. Krishnan T (Staff Advisor) also addressed the gathering and encouraged students to uphold moral values and social responsibility inspired by the spirit of Christmas. As part of the Christmas celebrations, a Christmas Friend Giving Programme was organized on 07th January 2026. The programme fostered friendship, unity, and joy among students through the exchange of gifts and kind gestures, reinforcing the true essence of Christmas—sharing and togetherness. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Abhay J. Prakash (Union Chairman), who expressed sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, staff members, students, and all those who contributed to the success of the Christmas celebrations.
