The district-level observance of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was jointly organized by the District Medical Office, National Health Mission, and the District Mental Health Programme.
The official inauguration took place at the Nileshwaram Mahatma College of Education, where Municipal Chairman P.P. Muhammad Rafi opened the event. Vice Chairperson P.M. Sandhya presided over the function, while District Medical Officer Dr. B. Santosh delivered the keynote address.
During the program, Principal Dr. Shanmugha Das K.K delivered the welcome speech. National Health Mission District Program Manager Dr. Dhanya Dayanandan administered the anti-drug pledge. Additionally, a quiz competition led by Health Inspector Sijo M. Jose saw M. Amrutha, C. Anagha, and Devika Rajan securing the top three positions. Several local dignitaries and medical officials also spoke at the event.
