The Pre-Internship Workshop for B.Ed. Trainees – 2026 was organized by Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 29 June 2026. The workshop was held in the General Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The programme aimed to prepare B.Ed. trainees for their upcoming school internship by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required for effective teaching.
The workshop began with Session I, titled “Steering Through New School Environment,” led by Mr. Satheesh Babu T.V., HST, GHSS Parappa. He explained the importance of understanding school culture, building positive relationships with students and colleagues, adapting to the school environment, and maintaining effective communication and professional conduct.
Session II, “Beyond the Classroom: Enhancing School Related Activities,” was handled by Dr. Suresh Kokkot, Assistant Professor in English, Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar. He highlighted the role of teachers in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, community participation, and creating meaningful learning experiences beyond classroom teaching.
The final session, “Strengthening Inclusive Practices in Classrooms,” was conducted by Dr. K. K. Shanmughadas, Principal, Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar. He discussed inclusive teaching strategies, understanding diverse learners, and creating an equitable and supportive classroom environment for all students.
The workshop was highly informative and interactive. It provided valuable guidance to the B.Ed. trainees and enhanced their confidence and readiness for school internship. Overall, the programme successfully prepared the trainees to become responsible, inclusive, and effective future teachers.
